Pathfinder in Bronn
Brighton is a fortified town that sits atop a large hill surrounded by a deep moat. It was one of the earliest settlements in the region and was long considered the Southern outpost of the Vales.
It is now a center of mining and masonry, with deep mines pulling limestone and granite from the hills of Whistlevale.
The town is ruled by Count Sebastian Wolfsbane, successor of Leon Wolfsbane, one of Roland Long’s trusted generals. He has the reputation of being a sickly weakling and many of the nobility have begun to endorse and support others to take over the position. The resulting legal precedings have deadlocked the town’s bureaucracy.
To make matters worse, a rash of expensive burglaries targeting the merchant class has had an adverse effect on the economy, driving away business from the town. The town guards have so far been baffled by the break ins, although rumors of magical creatures able to pass unseen have persisted.
Count Sebastian Wolfsbane – Human, 29, Male Exp. 8. Ruler of the town. He has had health problems his entire life which has earned him the nickname “The Straw Count”. He has also been criticized for weak and non-confrontational nature, mainly when dealing with Longford Castle and the Crown.
Countess Rachel Wolfsbane – Human, 23, Female Exp. 9. Sebastian’s wife, the Countess often speaks for the Count and some refer to her as the actual ruler of Brighton. She is the daughter of Lord Gregor Mendell, who uses his daughter’s influence to not so subtly foster his own interests.
Harold Karr – Human, 45, Male. Com 10. The owner of the Brighton Mining Company that runs nearly half the mines in the area.
Jorges Whitwillow – Human, 38, Male Com 8. Heir to the Whitwillow estate and holdings, Jorges has been very vocal in his support for a new regime. His father, Astar, is expected to hand over the reins of the family to Jorges soon.
